Centro Cívico Hispanoamericano, Inc. (CCH) is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization which was founded in 1975. Centro Cívico was organized after a group of Hispanics and non-Hispanics identified a need for creating a viable access mechanism for the growing Hispanic community in the Capital District. Since its inception, CCH has been actively involved in developing a variety of projects, providing services, and coordinating services throughout the Hispanic community. As its main platform, CCH has adopted the following as the central elements in the organizations mission statement:

• develop and nurture a sense of identity and community
• promote cultural awareness
• explore economic avenues to attain self-sufficiency
• sponsor educational activities
• address social needs

Centro Cívico Hispanoamericano serves as a strong advocate for economically and socially disadvantaged Hispanics through programs and services designed to improve their status in the community.
